Hi everyone,
We’re a full-service Italian restaurant in Florida (average check around $50+) and have been using Toast Loyalty for quite some time — mainly the traditional points & discount–based model.
We’re now considering switching our loyalty structure to a visit-based model — where guests earn rewards after a certain number of visits instead of by spending amount.
Our idea is that, even if the average check might decrease slightly, the visit frequency should increase — ideally leading to higher overall profit and stronger guest retention.
Before we make the switch, we’d love to hear from anyone who has implemented a visit-based loyalty program using Toast:
How did you set it up (tiers, min spend, reward triggers)?
How did your guests respond compared to a points-based program?
If possible, could you share links to your restaurant’s loyalty page or examples of how you communicate it publicly?
We’re especially interested in seeing how other full-service restaurants (not quick-service or fast-casual) have structured it — or any creative hybrid models that worked well.
Any insight, reference, or screenshot would be hugely appreciated 🙏
We’re happy to share our experience in return once our program goes live!
Grazie mille,
Maxim
