I was training staff today and ran into an issue where if a person pays with cash and the host does not enter the amount paid and hits the CASH button the drawer will open assuming the customer paid the exact amount. Turns out not everyone can accurately figure out change. Is there a way to prevent the drawer from opening until the cash paid amount is entered?

That is expected behavior similar to using an old fashioned cash register, hitting cash opens the drawer like exact cash was received. Other than completely restricting cash payments, no. Just need to make sure they are aware, I can see how it can be confusing that you might need to hit that button to do a cash payment when the default behavior of the payment screen is cash.

Let’s go back to basics and teach them the counting up method from Pennie’s to hundreds
total 22.37
customer gives 50
3 cents makes 40
10 cents makes 50
50 cents makes 23
2x1 ‘makes 25 (but you want to leave tip money so
7x1 makes 30
20x1 makes 50
and that’s how we did it

I'll just buy a calculator. If the school system cant figure it out, I'm not going to.
