Not sure if I'm misremembering but I don't believe it was possible to skip the prompt for phone number on takeout orders, since 2.80 it seems you can just hit continue and bypass the number entry. Anyone else having this problem? Or was it always that way and I forgot?
You remember it correctly. Around March to April 2024, when Toast was implementing the new pos design, you could not skip the takeout prompt without entering phone number and name. Toast removed the restriction one or two weeks later.
That long ago? Not sure how I am just noticing now, or how it took that long for an employee to discover they could skip it, thought it started with the last update. Thanks!
I can't say if everyone got the same patch around the same time. It is possible that Toast changed it back for only QSR locations last year and accidentally patched it all users when they released 2.80 update.
