Can Toast automate allocation of tips to those who initiate the order, regardless of who closes the order? The default set up is to assign the tip to whoever closes the check. The following scenarios create challenges:
When a guest has a drink at the bar while awaiting a table, the guest needs to first close the bar tab before going to the table for the bartender to get the tip.
We have a patio area where guests on the waiting list can have a drink or two, served by a server, while awaiting their table. When guests move to their table, they most often get a second server. Can Toast assign the tips amounts to the servers who placed the order rather than only to the one who closed it? Again, are two check outs required?
When a server goes off-shift and the table is picked up by a second server, the second server who closes the check is credited with the entire the tip regardless of what portion of the total order they took.
DO I need a more robust Tip Pooling solution to address these scenarios?
