Accounting with Invoices Toast Reports in to Quickbooks

Does anyone know the proper accounts to use a Journal Entry for Sales from Toast to Quickbooks( including invoicing)?

Hi there,

I think I am understanding your question, but I may be missing it...

There are a million ways to do this.  If you have an accountant who is going to be doing your books and taxes, I would ask them to help you set it up.  The reality is that you want to set this up the right way from the start to make sure you can track things the way that work for you and your accountant.  For example, I track breakfast sales, lunch sales, bakery sales, and beverage sales.  These are all different accounts, and let me do prime cost and other analysis.  I also have Discounts and delivery fees in my income line so that it all sums to revenue.  But your business may be very different from mine and you may need to track different things.  Again, reach out to an accountant, set up some time to discuss it, and have them set up QBO the right way.  It's much easier than re-doing it after a year's worth of sales!
