When I set up out Toast menu system a year ago, I was assisted by the presence of the Setup Checklist which automatically popped up whenever I logged in. Once I completed its suggestions it kindly went away. We recently added the Catering & Events module for our 4 locations - and now the Setup Checklist is back with a vengeance. Unfortunately, one of its required steps is activating Toast Delivery Partners by agreeing to their Terms and Conditions, which we don't use have no intention of doing. So now every time I log in, I am greeted by the annoying popup covering the right quarter of my screen. When I switch stores its back again. Over and over each day with no chance of completing its requirements. It is now more of a virus than an assistant, but I haven't figured out how to disable it. Does anyone know how to turn it off?

I also have several checklists that are not complete, but I don't see the checklist unless I login on a different computer or browser for the first time. Their is a key value in the browsers local storage that controls whether or not the checklist is shown, if you dismiss it once it should switch to false, possible something is preventing it. Can I ask what browser you are using?

I've been wondering about this as well for quite a while also. It's strange, it doesn't show up when I log in on my laptop but when I use the desktop computer it shows up often but not everytime. I have completed all the setups in the checklist except for Toast Pay card & Payout which don't want to use. Any suggestions of things I can check for it to stop popping up? I use google chrome on each device.

I believe it has to do with your browser's management of cookies, so check your Settings for Cookies. Mine was set to prevent cookies as a security measure. Every time I logged into Toast they saw no indication I had closed the Setup Checklist the previous time because the cookie reporting that event wasn't saved on my computer. It is also possible to have your browser delete cookies at shutdown. If you leave your computer on most of the time (with the browser open) the checklist goes away - until you actually close the browser, causing it to return the next time you log in. There are probably other scenarios, as well.
I do think that assuming all users accept cookies is a little lazy on the part of any developer. There should probably be a backup way to "opt out" of pop-ups.

Something may be preventing it from storing, settings, extensions etc. You can check to see if the value is stored and what it is set to. If it's there and set to true you can try to manually change it. From the toasttab site, go to the (3 dot) chrome menu, more tools, developer tools or ctrl+shift+i, go to application tab, local storage, select toasttab, in the filer box type toast-self to search, should see this if it is there, if it is set to true, right click on the value, edit value, change true to false and reload website.
