Toast Local app issue: "Not accepting orders"

We've recently discovered that our online store is not accepting orders via the Toast Local app.

The app shows "Not accepting orders at this time".

Our regular online store works fine.

On the Toast Local app, all of our menus are showing... just unable to make purchases.

Everything seems to be configured correctly in Toast admin. 

We have a support ticket open with Toast and they can't figure it out. 

What are we missing?

Hi ! Have you looked into the Toast Takeout settings? They are separate from the Toast Local toggle for the web. You might need to adjust the setting to enable ordering through the Toast Takeout app. For our location, we have Toast Local enabled for the web, but we’ve disabled ordering through the Toast Local by Toast app.

Here is how to get to this setting:

Takeout & Delivery -> Toast Order Sources -> Toast Takeout - > select "List my restaurant on Local by Toast"

Yes, Toast Local toggle flipped on.  Online ordering works fine for toasttab on the web. We also use Online Ordering Pro w/ a custom domain name.

Hi there - thank you this was indeed the issue. Not sure how we missed this setting. 

Curious why you disable ordering via the Toast local app for your restaurant?

Hi there! I’m really glad it worked out! To be honest, we were initially confused by these settings as well; it seems like it should be a single setting. The reason we disabled it previously was because we had several nested modifiers, and guests weren’t able to see all of them when ordering. However, I believe this is no longer an issue with the Toast Takeout app. We are adding the Branded Mobile app, though, so we’ll likely keep our locations off the Toast Takeout app for now.
