User Permissions granted allow you to edit/add your own permissions?

Can a Toast user add permissions to themselves if they have 8.2 "User Permissions" granted in their role? Can they view the permissions they do not have granted?

Or does 8.2 "user permissions" only allow them to view/edit other user's permissions?

Hey, the article from Toast Central says:

"To assign an access permission to an individual employee, you must have the
User Permissions access permission. In addition, you must have any given access permission in order to include it in a job or assign it to an employee"

This means they can give employees whatever permissions they have access to, but they cannot provide themselves with access to more things and cannot see everything they can't access. Let me know if you have found that not to be the case!

Hey Rob. Thats helpful, thank you. So just to confirm I'm understanding correctly:

Even with "8.2 User Permissions" granted, an employee still cannot see or give themselves additional permissions beyond what they already have?

That is correct!
