I have a combo meal which has a mix of items that are vatable at standard rate 20% and items at zero rate for takeaway. For example a cold sandwich (0%), fries (20%) and a cake (0%) for a set price.
I have it set up so you click on the combo and it then gives you a choice of modifiers. You pick a sandwich then pick fries and then pick your cake selection.
I have set each item as an individual price to make up the combo price but I can't seem to get the VAT to track correctly. If the main combo item is set to exempt for takeaway all the combo modifiers are exempt and the opposite applies if I set the combo item as standard vat at 20% all the combo items are 20%.
Is there a way to have each modifier utilize their own VAT rate?

You can set rates on the individual modifiers https://doc.toasttab.com/doc/platformguide/adminTaxesOnModifiers.html

Looks like you are only editing the menu item itself, need to dive deeper into the modifier groups and modifiers for your combo selections. Important to click on the arrow when hovering over the modifier.

The screenshot shows the page I get when hovering and clicking on the right arrow. The link you posted above says it's a limited release so it might not be available for me yet. I will contact support to find out. I appreciate your help. Thanks
