Our managers only pay out Credit Card Tips and Cash and Credit Card Gratuity. Can the download report in Tip Management show a total per employee to be paid out daily eliminating the cash tip they already received. This would help our managers greatly from making errors uploading to the tip card pay outs.
Also, is there a way to set up a second job (level) for employees who work a large party that the tips are split between two employees while they are working as a server at the same time earning other tips. The two jobs would be different while both earn tips. Would love to speak with someone about thinking outside of the box to make this happen.

Here's what we have done if this could help you regarding splitting tips on a large party.
1. We set up a house account in the POS side as an employee. We also use Toast Payroll so we just ignore this fake employee on the payroll side.
2. The servers that are splitting the large party clock in to a job code called Banquet Server (while all the other servers clock into a job code called dinner server to distinguish the two from each other). The "house account" employee also clocks in to a unique job code. I called it "gratuity share"
3. Banquet Servers use the POS code for the fake employee/house account to ring in the sales of the large party.
4. Set up Tips Management so that that "gratuity share" job code does the correct tip out to the support staff (we tip out a percentage of sales to the kitchen, bussers, host and bartenders), then takes the remainder of the gratuity + tips paid and splits it equally between anyone clocked in to the "Banquet Server" position. The house account should net zero.
These numbers then all flow into payroll correctly and employees can see this detail from their toast accounts.
Also the servers, even though clocked in to Banquet Server, can continue to wait on other tables, ring in those sales to their own POS code and that money stays just with them in Tips Management.
So far this system is working flawlessly for us. Hope it helps someone

For the parties there are two option s I have seen
1. ring it under a banquet server and then distribute and split the tips from that server.
2. Have one of the servers ring it under their numbers and when they go to do their shift review have the server ring in negative cash tips for half the tip and the other server add it to their cash tips

Josh, this is not a way to fix the problem and we use the Tip Management program which flows into payroll. Manually fixing numbers that are calculated on Sales will import incorrect information into payroll. Tip Management will not allow us to send to payroll so payroll reports would be incorrect for year to date earnings.
