I was wondering if anyone knows if Toast is planning on making an update to the QR codes on receipts for groups paying together. Right now the only option is to split the bill evenly, and while that is time efficient, for groups that have not evenly ordered things, it can be a pain. If a group member is not drinking, and everyone else in the party is, I don't feel like they should have to pay a portion of the drinks initially. People can venmo and send each other money of course, but these feel like unnecessary steps in the guest experience. I was wondering if Toast was planning on making it possible for guests to scan the QR code and select the items they consumed, or is the splitting payment evenly a way to make sure everything gets paid for?? I was just wondering if anyone knew the line of thinking with splitting payments evenly, and if it is something Toast would be open to changing.
