Hey all.
If you have a tap-to-pay setup and you open payment terminal it's very dangerous. We run a bar and use payment terminal to access multiple tabs throughout the night. Guests will approach the bar and put their card on the card reader before even saying hello, and they end up paying someone else's tab before they order because on Payment Terminal it will accept tap payment for any tab that is highlighted. Needless to say this has caused a bunch of unwanted payments and refunds. Does anyone know how to fix this issue, is there a work around? Our only option seems to be turning off tap to pay entirely.

Is the tap to pay intended for guests to use or is it just what employees use to run card payments?

It's intended for guest use. We have a payment kiosk at one end of the bar. If people try to do Apple Pay their phone can be a solid 5-8 inches away from the reader and it'll still autopay any highlighted tab in payment terminal

Is this a countertop mounted one or terminal? If it's countertop and you have or add a regular magnetic stripe reader to the side of the terminal then you can assign the guest facing one to guest pay and it will not be active until you touch guest pay.
