Through this new feature, Toast Payroll Pro now integrates with thousands of health insurance plans and all major carriers through SimplyInsured, a national benefits broker. Payroll Pro customers can shop and sign up for insurance plans, manage open enrollment, and sync deductions automatically each pay run, all directly within Payroll.
Insurance policies available through Ten 250 Corporation, dba SimplyInsured, pursuant to its licenses. Neither Toast, Inc., nor any of its affiliates or subsidiaries, sells or underwrites insurance. However, Toast Insurance Services, Inc. (“TIS”) maintains various insurance licenses and may receive compensation in connection with policies purchased through SimplyInsured. Policy documents govern, terms & exclusions apply.
* To help better understand the restaurant industry and restaurant employees, Toast conducted a blind survey of 624 restaurant employees in the United States, from both Toast and non-Toast customers, from January 31, 2025, to February 19, 2025. Respondents include a mix of front-of-house, back-of-house, and managerial positions. Respondents were not made aware that Toast was fielding the study. Panel providers granted incentives to restaurant respondents for participation. Using a standard margin of error calculation, at a confidence interval of 95%, the margin of error on average is +/- 4%.

With this new update, guests can check in or sign in to their Toast Loyalty account on the guest-facing display at the start of their order. Previously, the loyalty workflow appeared at the end of a transaction. Shift at a Glance, a Test Kitchen waitlist feature, ensures staff start every shift prepared by bringing key updates - like announcements, out-of-stock items, and daily specials - directly to front of house staff on the Toast POS. Managers can easily share important staff notes in the Toast Now app, while staff will be prompted to review when they log into the POS.

For MLM users, some of our corporate level job codes are not able to be assigned by users in that restaurant group. Was there a new permission added that would block us from adding those job codes?

They are only able to assign the jobs tied to their location only.

Found a resolution. Some of the available permissions had been changed in the Restaurant Admin section (4). I suspected something that was not visible was selected or had moved, so I gave the job codes all of the permission, saved, and then removed all of those permissions, saved. Then the MLM job code was available to be assigned. The new permission added was "4.22 Benchmarking Restaurant Group Report Access" doesn't appear any perms were taken away, but perhaps because the new permission was inserted into 4.22 rather than appended to the end is what caused the issue.
