Card Pre-Authorization FAQ
Pre-authorizing a card does not guarantee the customer will have sufficient funds to cover the entire check. Pre-authorization will only work if the card is swiped while no items are added to the check. If there are any items on the check, the card will be charged as if it were a normal payment.
