How do I create a Bucket of Beer recipe in xtrachef? I want it to subtract from inventory based on selected beers in the bucket made at the time my bartender rings the order in.
Ex:
Our domestic bucket comes with 5 beers. The cost is $15 regardless of the individual beer cost. Guests can choose from a list of our domestic beers for the bucket.

How is it setup in the POS? Is beer bucket the main menu item and beer selections modifiers?

Menu item is domestic bucket, and then a mandatory modifier screen comes up where the bartender selects which beers going into the bucket

Ok, you could just find those modifiers under the product mix mapping modifiers tab and assign the product and measurement to them there, this would add it anywhere the modifier is used which may or may not be a problem.
The other option would be to just create a blank recipe with no ingredients for the Domestic Bucket paired to the Domestic Bucket menu item, then under product mix mapping > menu item mapping, find the domestic bucket and click on it anywhere but the left menu item column (it's a little confusing, I know) on the next screen click on the modifiers tab and then assign the bottles to the modifiers there. Doing it this way would only assign the product to the modifiers for that menu item.

Thank you. I’ll give it a shot. Learning this portion of xtra chef may as well be like learning an alien language from scratch. I had hoped it would be more user friendly. Thanks again.
