I have an issue with the "buy 4, get the 5th 50% off" discount in our POS system. When a customer orders 6 salmon nigiri sushi, the system breaks it down as $10 x 4 (full price), $5 x 1 (discounted), and $10 x 1 (for the sixth item), with the discount name applied to the relevant line.
After sending the order, the handheld device displays this breakdown by discount, and the kitchen display also shows it as salmon x 4, salmon x 1, and salmon x 1. This causes significant confusion for our chefs and servers, as they must carefully check and recalculate to ensure accuracy.
I would like the kitchen display to at least consolidate and show the total as salmon x 6 for simplicity.
