Cap on Fixed Percent Discount

Is there anyway to put a dollar amount cap on a fixed percent discount?

I have looked into the discount configuration and the only min/max setting is for the check value and not the discount itself. For example, if we have a 50% employee discount, is there any way to max the discount out at $20.00?

Could you set the max check value to $40? And have a second fixed value  discount for $20 off with a minimum check of $40

That would work for smaller checks. The issue with that work around is if it were a larger order (greater than $40), the POS won't allow the discount to be applied since it is over the max check amount.

Yeah, that's why you would also need the second fixed value employee discount for checks over $40 as well. Not an ideal solution, but all I can think of to workaround this.
