Cash Activity in 'Sales Summary' changed within 24 hours

Hello,  I need help understanding what could have caused a cash activity discrepancy:

I pulled a report in the Sales Summary and filtered to a specific employee.  The URL 'Cash Activity' stated a total cash of $451.15, and the usual related info. I noticed a discrepancy between the information provided in Data Exports, and the URL.  I ran the same URL 'Cash Activity' report the next day, and got a different 'total cash', and subsequently a different 'cash on hand' and 'cash difference'.

The question is - what operations can alter a specific employees 'Cash activity'?   I'm including the URL screenshot I took on 8/21.   The 'shift review' printed on the night of the shift (8/20), and the URL screenshot of the same filtered selection, the day after, on (8/22).

I noticed a difference.  I screenshot the URL at $451.15.  I know this is wrong.  I conclude to my bosses that Toast was doubling the 'Cash Gratuity', and we all left the meeting feeling like things will not be resolved today....  The next day, the URL reports the correct amount, that matches the 'Shift Review Summary' that was printed the night of the shift, which also matches my automation based on Data Exports data.

What are the possible ways a 'Cash Activity' report can be changed?

Yesterday's 'Sales Summary>Cash Activity'   vs    the Shift Report printed at the Terminal last night.  Only happens if Gratuity is paid in cash.

The anomaly strikes again.  Here is the same sales summary, ran today (8.28.24)  and as predicted again, it corrects itself with no changes made on the user end.   We talked with Toast support yesterday, and they are looking into it.  Appreciate them taking the time to look at things and help us resolve this.
