HI all,
We are very new to this system, been live 3 days. All has been going fairly well, but we do have one thing we are trying to see if it is actually possible or not. We are not a "server" style restaurant, we are a you come in and pay and we bring you your food, refresh your drinks, etc, kind of place. The issue we are having is that when we are needing to ring up 2 or more tabs on the same table, our cashiers are having to type in the table number, when they do this we do not have their name attached to it. It tracks on the back end no problem, but at the moment it is hard to see who did what.
Scenario: Guest comes to POS#1, orders for table #17. Guest 2 comes to POS#2 and is ordering for the same table. Since that table is already occupied, the POS#2 types in Table #17, and then when their order goes to the kitchen there is no name attached.
I hope this all makes sense. TIA

Thanks, unfortunately server names don't show on kds when in quick order mode, when you create a new order from table service it is a quick order. There aren't really any limitations with the table layout, you are not restricted to only numbers in the table number, also not prevented from just having multiple tables with the same number if you wanted. You could just reconfigure your table layout to work better with your setup. Without knowing much about your table layout or sizes, here are a couple of examples of what you could do, basically creating a table for each seat.

In your scenario, how are they typing in the table? Using tab name? When you say no name attached, are you referring to the servers name?
Saturday
The first time they are tapping the table, the second time they are having to type in the table number. Yes Name meaning server/Cashier

That sounds like something we might be able to do. I greatly appreciate your input. Thanks!
