With the new update my employees job changes from “server” to a different one that is assigned to them (I.e. cashier, outside bar) when their shift report is run and the button for “clock out and open new shift” is selected.

Hey, @buckley_taylor Do you have a screenshot that shows the inconsistency? It seems that the job is being updated with the wrong value, but we can help fix this by adjusting the values. Screenshots would give me a better understanding of the issues.
I did not come across any support cases related to this problem on your account. Consider contacting customer care for additional support!

Someone in my back office noticed that one of my servers was switched to bartender when I ran her checkout yesterday. Here is the picture he sent me of where it changed. I personally ran her checkout and know that no one in the restaurant changed what job she was clocked in for.
