How to remove or disable a cash drawer

Hey, all!
When our restaurant first opened, we were doing counter service, so we had a cash drawer set up for one of our POS terminals. Since we're not doing counter service anymore (full service now, servers have their own bank for cash transactions), I'd like to remove or disable that cash drawer, as we don't actually use it anymore and it's just creating confusion for servers (for example, when servers use that particular POS terminal, it prompts them about the drawer and ties their cash sales to that drawer even though it shouldn't resulting in some confusing entries on their shift review slip). When I tried to uncheck the cash drawer box in Toast Web for the POS terminal it's tied to, I got a pop message that states, "Deleting the cash drawer will remove any existing cash entries and balance information. Are you sure you want to continue?" From what I've read online, removing this cash drawer will completely wipe out all the data tied to that drawer from when we were actually using it, which would be a huge problem, of course.
With all that said, has anymore run into this issue before? How did you remove or disable the cash drawer you're no longer using without losing any data?
Thank you in advance!

Hey, thanks for reaching out to the community!
You can remove the cash drawer that pops up, stating you will lose data if you remove it in the middle of the day. It is recommended that you remove the cash drawer at the end of the day.

Historical data will not be deleted as first off your cash over/short is a full restaurant breakdown not individual drawers. However this is why cash drawers like everything else go in the archive versus being deleted. You need to go under the receipt printer its attached to in toast web and remove it.
