Loss Prevention - Monitoring and Preventing the Wagon Wheel Scheme

Hello all!

Reaching out to see if anyone has best practices in Toast to monitor servers attempting The Wagon Wheel Transfer scheme. Is there a specific report that you use in Toast to look for the amount of item transfers a server is making at any given shift? We also use Avero as our F&B Financial solution and our previous POS used to send over transfer data as part of Loss Prevention. However, Toast is still working on this. But for those that solely use Toast - how do you monitor this or any other crafty techniques servers/bartenders use?

The Wagon Wheel is (by far) our most common fraud issue in F&B … and we’ve had cases that have added up to quite substantial amounts. Hoping that this thread is helpful to others in our community as well.
