New Uber Eats integration expanded delivery radius vs Doordash Integration?

For the new Toast Uber Eats integration I believe I saw a notice come in saying that it would offer an expanded delivery radius.

Is this true?

Currently our Doordash integration is limited to 5 miles.

I know switching to using own drivers is a solution to delivery radius, but that can be costly to store or to customer if cost is passed on to them.

Here  is what I received from "What's New at Toast":

"An Uber good partnership to unlock more savings and a larger network. We announced a new integration between Toast Delivery Services and Uber Direct to allow restaurants across the U.S. to save on delivery fees, expand delivery radius, and leverage Uber's extensive delivery network to offer local delivery of orders made by phone and through Toast digital ordering channels, including Online Ordering, Branded Mobile App, and the Local by Toast app"

Yes, it is true. Toast has partnered with Uber Direct to offer an expanded delivery radius. The integration with Uber Direct allows for a delivery radius of up to 8 miles, which is larger than the current 5-mile limit with DoorDash.

Is it everything the same set up as Doordash? $7.49 flat fee with ability to add service charge of our own choosing.

I believe Doordash does not cross rivers? I.E. we are in Marylad and even if within 5 miles it will not include delivery into Virginia across the Potomac River. Is that true for Doordash? and for Uber?

It looks like everything is the same with the radius, and you can still setup your own fee using a service charge, but also looks like you can list different fees based on guest cart size and more.

I am seeing some conflicting things just now on our Toast Delivery Services.

In my Takeout and Delivery settings I know see for Toast Delivery Services the attached screenshot.

It now says Door Dash Drive, before it was something like Toast Delivery Service using Doordash. I also see that for Door Dash Drive that it now allows for up to a 10 mile radius adding .50 cents per mile between 6 and 10 miles. This is new to me and most have populated in my Takeout Delivery Settings recently.

Also, under "Select Your Delivery Provider" I see that Uber Eats is checked off? Why? I never checked that off as we have always used Doordash thru TDS and have never added the integration for Uber Eats and thats for certain as it just recently came out and I was inquiring about it here.

Also, the difference between Door Dash Direct and Doordash thru TDS has always been a bit confusing, have they merged?

Yeah a bit confused on all this - especiall as to why Uber Ets is checked off for my Take & Delivery...
