When trying to redeem Loyalty Club members accrued points we've run into an issue. Instead of apply the points to the entire tab, it's only applying the points/money to the items that allowed them to accrue the points in the first place.
In our case, we have a beer club and the loyalty program is set up to give members 1 point for every dollar spent on draft or bottled beer. We were told that any monies accrued can redeemed on anything Food or Beverage but that's not happening. It's only applying to any draft or bottled beer on the tabs.
Is there a setting we're missing? How can we get the accrued points to apply to the whole tab, not just Draft and Bottled beer?

I think there is a Rewards section on each menu item. Possibly items not active with Rewards?

make sure to set all items that apply to “can be discount”. It will be easy if you do it in advance property. Make sure to toggle the column to show.

If you exclude a menu from loyalty it also excludes it from redemption. I think whoever told you it would work misunderstood what you were asking.
