Sales tax reporting

I saw that effective May 1, 2025, Toast would be processing the state sales tax reports. Is that for the previous month? Our sales tax is due on the 20th of the following month so I need to verify that April's sales tax will be processed today. Thank you!

Are you referring to Toast Local orders and Facilitator Marketplace Tax collection and remittance?  If you look at the linked article, there are a couple states that have May 1, 2025 as the effective date of Toast remittance of MPF tax.

I can't imagine, nor would I want, Toast to be in charge of reporting my sales tax for the entirety of our operation.

We use DAVO for automatic set asides daily and filling of our sales tax. Greatest thing ever!
