Single upcharge vs multiple

We sell $.50 wings. Server rings in wings item for $.50 and adjusts it to 20 orders. 20 wings = $10. Fine.

Server hits the modifier for extra dressing, which would be a $.50 upcharge. Nope, it is multiplying it by 20 because it is a modifier for the wings and we are ordering 20 of those so instead of charging $.50 for sauce it is charging $10.

How do i get a modifier to do a singular upcharge and not be multiplied WITH the item?

This is expected behavior when using the quantity button, (similar situation from a couple weeks ago https://community.toasttab.com/t5/restaurant-operations/wing-special/m-p/5852 ) you would need to use size based pricing or make the extra dressing detached from the 50c wing item and be just another line item not a modifier of the wings. Although it is a singular wing it is still a singular menu item, could have been a ribeye steak for example, you would expect an uncharged modifier on a steak to be multiplied when a customer ordered 20 of them.
