High volume bar, seat yourself environment. During peak times a new party may be sat at a table prior to the first check/tab being fully closed (i.e. not closed with handheld and not tip adjusted with paper CC auth receipt). Cant seem to find a simple way to start a new check on this table when the next party has sat. Any ideas?

Hey @ParkBarAtlanta
We have a similar style of operation but with communal tables. There can be up to 10 people with different pre-authorized cards at one table sometimes. If you click the check that is already assigned -> then find "split"-> you will be given an option of a "+" button to start a new check. From here you can open that one table and swipe left and right to view the open tabs on that check. Hope this helped!

Yes. Personally I have the FOH UI Option turned on to prompt the user when editing another persons check. It just shows a quick "customer is already being served by XXXXX, do you want to edit?". I attached the setting below.

@Sydney042100 suggestion works but the checks will still be linked together on the same order/table and can cause issues when transferring checks or moving to another table, a better option might be to start a new quick order, then choose transfer to table under the check (3 dot) overflow menu, select the table that still has an unclosed check on it and choose keep as separate order, you will then have two orders on one table. This will work with different servers as well.
