I'm trying to implement a Service Charge of 1.00 for Online Orders Only. Toast Customer service is telling me I can only apply a service charge to Delivery or Take Out Orders and I need to put n a feature request. This doesn't make any sense. There has to be a work around. Does anyone know how to do this?

The workaround would be to manually remove the charge from in house takeout orders.

Thank you but that's not possible for me. It makes no sense that you can't do it for other service types. Seems like it should be a pretty simple update.

@JimmyD99 Thanks for reaching out about this! The suggested workaround is the only workaround to get this result; I will reach out internally to see if this is on the roadmap for future updates!

Do you have access to the Ideas Hub? I couldn't find a request for that to vote on, but that would be a good place to add the suggestion. If you don't, I'd be happy to add it there myself. The only other workaround I can think of would be to adjust your dining options, and whatever you use for in-house takeout orders, change the behavior to Dine-In and leave online order to takeout. I'm not 100% sure if this would work though, just an idea, theoretically it would treat them as dine-in orders and not auto-attach the charge. This would affect other things though as well, like all settings under takout/delivery would no longer apply when using that dining option.
