Turning toast tablet into an expo screen

Is there a way to turn a toast handheld into an expo screen for certain items:

for example: we just implemented expo firing of courses. But before we did that we had salads and desserts bypass the expo screen and go directly to the prep screen. Would love a fix as we cannot allow items to bypass the expo screen with the expo fixing course enabled.

looking at a fix: can we have all desserts and salads go to a handheld that we utilize as an expo screen so that we can fire those quickly and not have the main expo screen clog up.

The handheld will open a setup wizard the first time it is put into KDS mode, do you already have your salads routed to a prep station or do you need help with that? If you don't you just need to create a new prep station for salads and then route the salads to that prep station in your menu.

We already have salads routed to the salad prep station. 

I want the handheld to be a second expeditor screen - but only show salads (and desserts).  All kitchen stations have prep screens - I just want my expos to be able to fire these items (as that is how I have meal pacing setup currently)

Ok, you wouldn't be able to limit what prep staions show and have it set as an expeditor screen, you could filter it by course or dining option but that's all. Is there a reason it needs to be an expeditor screen and not a prep station? Sounds like you just want to display one prep station which is what prep station is intended for.

That is correct, 

however when we have meal pacing enabled and the expeditor in charge of firing tickets, items that are not routed to the expo screen (we want salads and desserts to go directly to the prep screen, not fired through the expo screen) then the items will not fire or go to any screens.  

Having them on the main expo screen where the brunt of food items go to, all the salads and desserts clog up the expeditor screen and we constantly have to toggle through all the items to be sure items like salads and desserts are being fired by the expo and this adds undue time to tickets.

We'd like it if there was a way to make those items (salads and desserts) just go directly to the prep screens.... then we wouldn't need a separate expo screen to fire them from

Someone suggested that items with no course set would bypass the expeditor hold when setup with expeditor firing, have you tested that? I'm not sure if that is true, would have to test myself.
