I hope someone can help with this.
We have prep stations set up for when we have 3 people on the line. That way, one can focus on JUST their items while the others handle the rest. Here is the issue: when we have just 2 people on the line, the second screen actually makes things worse.
We have the main screen and a toast/bread screen. When there are 2 cooks, they don't need/use the toast screen. HOWEVER, them not using the screen makes it to where the entire ticket isn't tapped out when the order is fulfilled. Is there an easy way (not needing to go into the back end) to not use the second prep screen? Turning the monitor off doesn't work. It still requires them to address that screen to fulfill the order.
