Cash out or close out every night?

Looking for help with deposits and closing out for the day.

We are very low volume at the moment and the numbers are not adding up as they should. 

Deposits are off.

Should we be running a cash out or close out report each day or does this happen in the background?

What type of business is this? Full service restaurant?A lot of things will auto complete everyday at 4am but depending on your business and workflow there are other things that you should doing every shift and end of day.

We are a coffee shop. Seems like it takes a few days for each day to process and deposit. The layout is not clear on what day of deposits are going in. Just want to be able to track daily what the next deposit will look like.

If you want to speed up the day of deposit you should close the day whenever you close and capture payments then, if not that won't happen until 4am and then you won't likely see the deposit until the following day.
