Google Tag Manager Events

Hi,

I am looking to add Google Tag Manager events, but can't figure out how to do this. It would be very helpful to have a GTM template that could be imported with all the proper Tag settings. 

Has anyone set this up before?

@anthonyf What events are you looking to track and on which channel. GTM a hub for all sorts of analytics tools however what events are you trying to track, what analytics tools and properties are you using. 

Ex. GA4 Analytcs, MC Tracking. Are you tracking conversions, page views, scrolls, button clicks. Ad Conversion, Clicks to Call, Google my Business. Are you building any Zap's for CRM management or are you using GCLID as a tracking Variable.

Are you using a Web GTM Container or a  Server GTM Container?

Are You also using GTM for Pixel Tracking for Meta Data Sets.

Hi Josh,

I am using both a Web and Server container (through Stape), and am also using GTM for Pixel tracking in Meta. My issue here is that I don't see any events happening in the data layer. I am trying to set up the standard events - view item, add to cart, begin checkout, purchase.

I have set up WooCommerce stores in the past and all of this data was shown in the data layer and was easy to pull in different event tracking. I can't figure out how to do this with Toast websites into GTM.
