My name is Matt and I’m the owner of Grillbird located in Seattle, WA! I switched to Toast Payroll over 2 years ago and it’s been a really easy experience for us. I (and my CPA) was hesitant at first to make the switch, but we've never had any issues and it's made so many aspects of payroll from onboarding to making adjustments so much easier. I'm not an owner but I process the payroll for a couple restaurants, the way we have tip-out running is through percentages of sales (bar/foodrunner/barback), I'm assuming that many other places run this way as well. When switching to toast is there a streamlined feature that either does this for you or can be easily implemented?

We do a tip pool system but there are endless ways to configure tip outs in almost any configuration you can think of. It's very comprehensive and likely you'll find a tip out solution that fits your business.
