How do I take a party deposit and final payment from my laptop at home?

Toast's Customer Invoice feature, can be accessed through Toast Web.

You can Do this through Catering & Events. Create an event or a Lead and Add a deposit and have the customer save the card

This is a (very pricey) paid feature most Toast users wouldn't need.  Customer invoices is the answer.
