Tip Suggestion with Split Payments

Hi all! Just wondering if anyone has noticed this. When a guest pays partial card and partial cash, the Tip suggestion is only based on the amount paid on the card. My servers get very frustrated with this. A guest could pay a $200 bill with $100 cash and $100 credit but only get a $20 tip on the credit payment when the tip on the whole bill would be around $40. Anyone have similar frustrations with their staff? 

Anything Toast can do to fix this? It results in staff getting stiffed on large amounts.

Yes - I believe this is an issue with gift cards used as partial payments, as well. We've been either cutting incorrect tip charts off of tickets and/or reprinting the original ticket to reflect partial payments AND having the handy dandy tip chart be accurate. 

Don't get me started on tip blanks for fully redeemed gift cards.

Anyone else have successful work-arounds for this? 

One of our servers brought this to my attention today - I let him know that I was aware that it's an issue, having seen this thread or commentary elsewhere, and that there were really no settings to override this.  I received an eye-roll in return, so I let him know I'd see if there were any new known work-arounds.   I just tried to do a partial credit card first, and the suggested tip was only on the credit card portion.  Now, it does state that the suggested tip is based only on the payment amount, but who really stops to read that?!  So regardless of when the partial credit card payment is made, the suggestion is only on that portion.
