When we started with Toast a few years ago we were told by our sales person that Toasts Loyalty could be configured like our current POS at the time which was basically for every drink (we are a coffee shop) the customer buys they get 1 point or stamp and after collecting 10 points etc they get a free drink. Pretty simple. Well as it goes Toasts loyalty doesn’t work that way . It’s totally different based off value to points etc. so now we have been buying paper punch cards, ink stampers and spending ton of money to keep our simple loyalty program as we have for 26 years.
why can’t Toast add in a option that is this simple? I have asked and asked repeatedly and get no answer. We are now again to the point of Changing back to a system that has this feature built in.

@Akleo I mean virtually every loyalty program has moved away from that idea and moved towards value based rewards especially with the expansion of ordering channels. Even Starbucks did away with this system years ago. People were taking advantage of the system and splitting transactions in order to gain more rewards. You pay a processing fee fixed and variable on ever transaction so this would lead to people generally splitting transactions and costing you more than say your coffee costs $3 so you make a $3 equal one point at 10 points they can get a free coffee or save them till they get 20 points and buy a pastry or a handcrafted drink. Someone who gets a latte every day gets 2 points daily and will still get a free latte after 10 days.
