Interested in your thoughts and practices on employee documentation management.
There is a section in Toast Payroll under each employee profile called Quicknotes.
We have found this to be extremely valuable in that we can log in one spot, that is an easy to view timeline , each employees history. We put all tardies, raise date & why, date of evals, quick summary of disciplinary actions, absences due to illness or otherwise, etc. This info being laid out in this way has proven so valuable to discuss evaluations or for unemployment paperwork, all kinds of things! We used to do all of this by hand in their physical file before toast payroll but it was such a cool feature to be able to scan the documents of employee evals, doctors notes, pay advances etc. into their Payroll file and then have the quick summary of said incident in the quicknotes log.
I recently found out that Quicknotes stopped being supported by Toast in 2023, and it just still remains in our system because we were grandfathered in. Not sure why it is not a module Toast Payroll wanted to continue because it's awesome but I'm sure they've got their reasons lol.
My question to you all is what systems do you use to track employee documentation in the ways I described above?
I feel a little uncomfortable continuing to use Quicknotes for such important timeline data if it's defunct and unsupported.
