Wondering if anyone else has a solution to this issue. We have groups that order from us regularly and e-mail their orders into management. We use Toast's invoicing feature on the web to punch in their orders and send out an invoice. It works great, EXCEPT if the customer wants the order delivered.
When we use Toast Delivery Services as the dining option, the order is never actually sent to TDS/DoorDash for pickup. It never shows "Driver Requested". I believe this is due to an issue where when the order is created, it has not yet been paid, and then paying an invoice doesn't finalize it somehow to trigger TDS (TDS won't be called unless the order has a payment attached, another annoying bug)
The only way we've found around it is to set it as "To Go" on the invoice, and then have someone at the store go on the POS and change it to TDS, but this is annoying and kinda defeats the whole purpose of being to do all this on the web.
Anyone at Toast want to fix this bug or recommend a way for me to have an invoiced order delivered? Thanks!

This doesn't solve the problem. But you can run Toast app using Bluestack and change the dining option from "To Go" to TDS on your computer instead of asking someone to do that in the store. You can still do everything on your end without calling into the store (assuming it is a working workflow mentioned in your post)
Or you could ring up their order using Bluestack and request payment by using "Text-to-pay". Customer will receive text message with a link to the digital receipt/invoice and payment.
Or instead of using "invoice", you can also look into "House Account" to see if it works out in this situation.
We don't use TDS so I can't really run tests on the possible workarounds listed above.

I appreciate the response - this is absolutely what I do (I just have a physical Android tablet at home), but trying to find a way to train my less technical staff to handle without me where they can do it all on the web without needing anything special.
