Hello. The KDS and item production count feature is great. But in many kitchens Substitutions are a common modifier.
Example: substituting a bun
How it would work: The item comes on a sesame bun
The customer wants to substitute a Gluten Free bun.
The sub GF bun modifier gets assigned -1 value for sesame buns and also a +1 value for GF buns
if you have 20 burgers and 4 different bun options this becomes another production item count that frees up mental space and keeps cooks from making counting errors.
Thanks!

I don't know if it works for your menu but I just have bread selections in their own modifier group, then have the bread that comes with the burger or sandwich set as the default modifier for each sandwich. Counts are assigned to the bread mods themselves, so if the default is unselected it subtracts it and adds whatever bread they choose.

I appreciate the suggestion! I have things working this way as is. It is acceptable but not as elegant of a solution in my opinion. Also created 2 modifiers instead of one when the bun option is changed.
