Happy Hour Menu

JesseQ

So I'm trying to create a happy hour menu following the Toast Central article how-to guide.  Its telling me I can create a new Happy Hour menu, go to add Groups and copy existing Group.  They're coming up prober by saying (copy) after.  I then go to the bulk price adjust section, select all the items under the copied groups and bulk bring the prices down by -$2.00.  The problem is that now those items from the original groups in the original menu have been adjusted as well.  Cant really find a way around this myself.

There are several ways you can approach a happy hour menu, could you link the guide you are following? Sounds like you are trying the menu specific pricing approach, in that case you would not change the prices on the items in the copied groups but convert to menu specific pricing instead and then adjust the prices.

I personally like to not create new menus for different pricing schemes. You can create Price levels and override the actual price based on the time that you want the new price to apply. Happy to help more if I can. This way you only manage one menu and let the price levels handle all the timing and pricing adjustments.

Hey @olisquare, If you need to make your menus available at a specific time, you can refer to the "Time Pricing, Size Pricing, Group Pricing and Item Pricing" article for guidance. To learn how to assign menu availability by day, you can refer to the "Building Happy Hour Menus with Menu Specific Pricing" guide. If you use third-party delivery services like Doordash, you can refer to "How to Manage Your Menu Visibility Settings" for help.
