Hold Button KDS Delay

When we send items on a check that have been held using the hold button, there is a significant delay in them hitting our KDS screen. It is sometimes up to 10min before the item will hit the KDS screens. We do not use the Toast brand KDS system. Has anyone else had this issue, and if so, do you have any advice on fixing the issue?

Does your KDS have hardwired connection or wireless connection? If it has wireless connection, it could be connectivity issue that causes your KDS is not synced up.
