New POS Experience - Discounts and more

Hello,

I'm not sure if there is a separate feedback post for the New POS experience. I'm sorry if I am posting outside of any designated area. My post is about modifying checks/tables without having to go into the table/check itself. Presently you can edit the table number and server without pulling up the check. I am wondering if we can make it possible for managers to apply discounts, check discounts only, to tables without needing to go into the table. This is just to speed up the process for those who do lots of customer discounts on a daily basis. Same with service charges. Being able to add them without going into the check itself would be extremely helpful and speed things up.  If this isn't possible then I understand. Thank you.

If you are doing that many discounts on a daily basis, have you considered applying discount and service charges automatically?

Not every single table gets a discount. We offer a state employee discount and a construction discount as we are a downtown based restaurant. So our lunch crowd during the week is heavy on these types of guests but not heavily so. So automatically added that wouldn't be helpful. As far as the service charge, the only one we use the most is large party gratuity on parties of 8 or more. I didn't know you could automatically apply those but i also don't want to run the risk of someone abusing that.

Unfortunately, I don't think there is a way to apply discount and gratuity without pulling up a check from my understanding. Let's see if other  peers in this community might have more knowledge and a workaround on this.
