Is there a way to require a reason/explanation for Refunds?
I believe it is optional
I know that discounts can be given required reasons

It could be a feature request.
Are you able to request staff to enter a reason for refund (even though it's optional on the system) and review the refund report every other day for any suspicious activity?

Requesting staff to do it is not best practice as they will not always do it as we are a grocer/butcher shop and only 2 POS checkouts with lines during our busy holiday seasons.
It would be best that this required with some predetermined reason and also type in explanations. I believe promos and discounts is set up like this for Toast. Surprisingly Refunds are not. It should definatley be a Feature request.

I can't remember the last time I did a refund from the POS, but it is basically a void, just the next day, does it not prompt for a reason just like voided items or payments? Do you have void reasons configured?
