I was on a custom Doordash Drive plan with Toast and so I would pay $3.49 per delivery + $1 extra per extra mile. Then Toast sent an email that Toast Delivery Services charges would be automatically removed from my credit card deposits, whereas before I would be billed monthly and could pay that on my own time. This change I felt was drastic, but in addition they moved my rate up to $6.99 per delivery + a $.5 Toast charge per delivery, without telling me. This feels shadier than the $.99 fee they tried to add to online orders. Anyone else experience this? Toast basically told me it's Doordash Drive's fault. But this change coincided with a TOAST update to billing, and they never told me about a price change to what's called "TOAST Delivery Services."
