Traing a new server on inputting orders into the pos

We hire a new server and want them to learn how to use and input items into the pos system WITHOUT it sending any information to the kitchen or counting the information in any way.  We simply want it to be practice.  Is there a way to have a "traing Mode" for the pos?  I am certain we could have the associate sign in under a"server training " job title and then be able to "play" with the system  until they are comfortable and knowledgable enough to go "LIVE"

You need a rule for every prep station unfortunately, another method you could use is non printing prep stations under device setup and select all prep stations, if it's possible to restrict them to one device no one else is using.

Hi! Do you have a demo lab toast account? We were able to do what you are requesting by logging into a handheld device under the demo lab set as the location. That allows us to create test orders without them actually sending to the kitchen. We have been using Toast for quite a few years though, and I am not sure if you would need to contact Toast to add a demo lab account or if it's no longer an option.
