Our receipts are now printing with a $10 credit if paying with QR code. This was never authorized on our end. Any help on how to fix this and why it happened? TIA!

Is it maybe just something entered into the footer or promo area of the guest receipt? Check the guest receipt setup to see if there is anything there.

You may want to get this resolved quickly. I have read on several posts on Reddit where payment processing charges are higher when a guest pays using the QR code. I have not confirmed this as we do not use QR codes, but if we should choose to do so, I will verify if payments through this method are not covered by our payment processing agreement or are treated separately from terminal payments.

That is correct, you will pay higher fees for these. QR code, text to pay, and other digital order & pay transactions are CNP (card not present) transactions. No card or way to verify identify = higher risk for banks due to the increased rate of fraud/chargebacks.
With that said, look at your rate differences, your volume, and make the judgement call. If ~1000 CNP transactions costs you an extra $500.... per month that would be a no for me, but per year you could start to look at the value added vs. cost increase. If your demographic leans young, there is a case to be made.

We've received reports of this at our locations with QR code payment turned on. This is a Toast/Google partnership that involves the guest receiving Google credit - it does not relate to any promo offer in store. However, this is not clear to the guest and has caused issues for us too.
There isn't the ability to adjust this via Toast configuration. When we pressed our enterprise support, they advised there wasn't a way to remove the Google messaging on their end either. Our option was to keep it on and clarity to guests or to remove QR code payment.
