Under reports in Toast some reports export to Excel, however when running Hourly Sales reports there is no export icon. Does anyone know how to change that.
Hey @LFR, at this time, it is not possible to select specific reports for export. If there is no export option available, you will need to manually transfer the data to Excel.
Its quite frustrating that there are several reports that contain useful information, e.g. Sales: Order Details, that cannot be extracted or that are only available in PDF form, e.g. Catering & Events: Prep Tools: BEO. Important information is not machine readable which compels us to write down information or print out reports and manually enter it into spreadsheets; this takes up valuable time and introduces the potential for keystroke errors.
Thanks for reaching out with this feedback. I have used AI to read PDF files before and auto-format them to a CSV. It's still quite manual, but it might be something you can do in the meantime until we are able to release an update that resolves this.
