We want to use the tip pooling functionality, but are having difficulty managing the hard cut offs of the day parts/services. For example, if "lunch" ends at 3PM but the lunch servers have tables (and therefore tips) that run over until 4PM, how do we make sure these specific tips are allocated to the lunch pool?

So the the easiest way to do this is have tips shared by employees clocked in. So if the check is opened at 2:59pm anyone punched in will receive their share of the pool; if someone punches in at 3:01p and the check opens at 3pm well they won't be part of the pool for that check. and then have the servers split their cash tips at 3pm appropriately.
