Loyalty Lookup POS vs Backend

Servers are looking up loyalty members on the handhelds and are able to find them most of the time.  However, there are times they cannot be located.  I go to the backend and do a search.  The search never works for me!  I even change the date range.  The only way I can find them is by going through every account to find the phone number or the email address.  Pain in the rear!!!  There has got to be an easier way!  The search should work!

UPDATE....  I finally got on chat and asked them to watch me lookup a customer (had a feeling I was not doing it correctly).  I was entering the phone number in, sometimes the name and then hitting the update button.  Nothing was populating.  They then told me to hit enter...  😜  OMG.  it started working!  Feel like an idiot, but wanted to share in case I was not the only one.

I haven't experienced any issue with finding customer's account on the Toast Web. When I can't find someone's account, it's either their account was not imported correctly when we did the import or customer's information was not input correctly such as mistyped phone number or email address. Toast recently made a change to avoid extended loading time if you have a huge customer database. Make sure to choose "Show all loyalty account" and click "update" button before searching.

Generally, if customer's information is correct and they cannot be found on the pos system, it's very unlikely you will find them on the Toast web either.

I really hope Toast can improve their searching on the Web.

We have a lot of loyalty accounts and it often takes up to 5 minutes or more for a single search. Sometimes it can take up to 10 minutes! There are also occasions when the search will just time out.

We don't have this issue per say, but because we have so many loyalty accounts in the system between the many locations, the report will take quite some time to load or find the specific account. This isn't the most effective, but I find it quicker to locate a loyalty account using the guest book instead.

Oh wow! Thanks for mentioning the Guest Book @Sdaniel ! That search is so much faster.

We are in a similar situation, with multiple locations and sometimes guests not visiting for awhile so we can't narrow down the time range.

Using the Guest Book first should help a lot for filtering the search.

Unfortunately it looks like you are unable to use the Card Number to search.

If anyone at Toast is reading this, I hope you can add the ability to search using the Card Number and also enable adding Loyalty points directly on the Guest Book page. This would help in adding missing points.
