Do you know when Toast will allow multiple loyalty accounts on the same table number? If there are multiple checks on the same table, Toast will only allow one loyalty account.

If guests wish to earn loyalty points across multiple loyalty accounts on a single order, checks should be split. If the payment is split instead of the check, loyalty points will not accrue properly.

Hope these links help.  But as far as I know the team member will need to split the order up.

Learn how to split payments of checks using different forms of payemtns. For example, if a guest would like to pay $20 on a card and the rest in cash.

We experienced a similar problem. We had a large party. Checks were split prior to payment. When the first customer inserted their card into the handheld the system indicated they had a reward available. They chose to skip the reward for that transaction. When the next guest inserted their credit card the same reward was offered. This happened multiple times, and unfortunately the last guest claimed the reward!

An obvious bug, or are we doing something wrong?

Thanks for reaching out to the community!

It seems like the issue you're experiencing is related to how rewards are being offered and claimed when checks are split. When a check is split, each guest can redeem rewards via Lookup or a linked credit card. However, any unclaimed points on the check will go to the last rewards account attached. This means that if a guest skips their reward, it may still be offered to subsequent guests, and the last guest to attach their loyalty account will earn any unclaimed points. The only way to avoid this is to ensure the guest claims their rewards as intended during the transaction. Let me know if you have any questions about this!

Hi Rob,

One issue with how you described this.

Say there was a check that was $100. Guest A and B want to split the check 50:50. Guest A pays $50 and chooses to claim their $5 reward. Guest A will still be charged $50 and then a $5 discount from rewards will be applied to the bill. Guest B will only be prompted to pay $45. This is one of the current issues with rewards.
